MINSK, 20 February (BelTA) – Belarus is ready to work in the agricultural and industrial sectors of Algeria using its own technologies, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with Algeria's Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdelkader Messahel on 20 February, BelTA has learned.
“With your will and assistance, we are ready to work in the industry and agriculture using our technologies.
The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft intends to increase oil production in Russia in 2018 by 20% to as much as 180,000 tonnes, BelTA learned from Belorusneft Deputy Director General, Chief Engineer Vladimir Goshkis.
Since the acquisition of Yangpur Oil Company, Belorusneft has extracted over 570,000 tonnes of oil and more than 590 million cubic meters of associated and natural gas in Russia.
Belarus will publish maps, guidebooks, and mini encyclopedias for the guests and participants of the 2019 European Games, Belarus' Deputy Prime Minister Vasily Zharko said at the final board meeting of the Information Ministry on 5 February, BelTA has learned.
The Information Ministry is to decide on the list of printed products in the near future. The materials will be published in the Belarusian, Russian and other languages.

“Of course, an organization cannot exist without politics, but it is inadmissible to turn the Eastern Partnership into an absolutely political organization.
It is essential to impose strict control in the pharmaceutical industry in the country. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko gave a corresponding instruction during the visit to the pharmaceutical enterprise Minskintercaps on 26 January, BelTA informs.
“An absolutely transparent and controllable monopolized system regulating the manufacture and sale of Belarusian and imported medical products should be formed in H1 2018,” the president instructed corresponding civil servants.
Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko signed ordinance No.1 on 25 January to stipulate population employment assistance measures. The document is primarily designed to step up government work in order to help citizens find jobs, encourage gainful occupations and self-employment of Belarusians, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.
In order to reach these goals, the central government is supposed to set forecast parameters in the area of population employment assistance efforts and compile a list of territories where the labor market situation is stressful.
Belarus' Council of Ministers has passed an action plan designed to implement provisions of the Entrepreneurship Development Ordinance, BelTA has learned.
The action plan provides for amending the legislation that regulates trade, public catering, consumer services, civil engineering, transportation, and advertising.
As many as 40 regulations will be corrected, including 21 laws and six codes.
